  • In a recent study completed by the Guttmacher Institute, 53% of all abortions are medically necessary.

  • A 2020 CDC study reports that 90% of all abortions occur before 13 weeks. 

​

  • Other studies show only 5.8% of abortions happen between 14 & 20 weeks, while 0.9% of ALL abortions are completed after 21 weeks.

  • An estimated 6% of babies worldwide are born with congenital anomalies, resulting in hundreds of thousands of associates deaths. However, the TRUE number of cases may be much higher, as the statistics do not often consider terminated pregnancies and stillbirths.

  • The majority of Jews (70%), Muslims (51%), Buddhists (69%), Hindus (62%) and Unitarian Universalists (83%) support the legality of abortion in all or most cases.

The fight is on...

  • South Carolina : 6 Week Abortion Band

​

  • Kentucky : grants addtiional authority to the State's Attorney General to penalize and close Abortion Clinics

​

  • Arkansas - available with restrictions; must call a state-supported hotline for information on pregnancy resources and services & providers are also required to document the hotline call in the patient's medical records with the state

​

  • Ohio - ban on the use of telemedicine for pharmaceutical abortion access

​

  • Kentucky & South Dakota - penalties for physicians who do not taking medically unnecessary actions for a fetus, despite both states having existing laws providing legal protections for a fetus delivered after an abortion

​

  • Kansas - allows for abortion up to 20 weeks post fertilization (22 weeks after the last menstrual period); after 20 weeks only in cases of life or severely compromised physical health
